ਪਉੜੀ ॥ ਜਿਉ ਜਿਉ ਤੇਰਾ ਹੁਕਮੁ ਤਿਵੈ ਤਿਉ ਹੋਵਣਾ ॥
ਜਹ ਜਹ ਰਖਹਿ ਆਪਿ ਤਹ ਜਾਇ ਖੜੋਵਣਾ ॥

na rabb arsh mu’alla utte
na rabb khaane kaabe - hu
na rabb ilm kitaabi labbha
na rabb wich mahraabe - hu
ganga teerath mool na milya
painde be-hisaabe - hu
jad da murshad milya baahu
chutte sab azaabe - hu

ਨਾ ਰੱਬ ਅਰਸ਼ ਮੁ’ਅੱਲਾ ਉੱਤੇ
ਨਾ ਰੱਬ ਖਾਨੇ ਕਾਬੇ - ਹੂ
ਨਾ ਰੱਬ ਇਲਮ ਕਿਤਾਬੀ ਲਾਬ੍ਭਾ
ਨਾ ਰੱਬ ਵਿਚ ਮਹਰਾਬੇ - ਹੂ
ਗੰਗਾ ਤੀਰਥ ਮੂਲ ਨਾ ਮਿਲਯਾ
ਪੈਂਦੇ ਬੇ -ਹਿਸਾਬੇ - ਹੂ
ਜਦ ਦਾ ਮੁਰਸ਼ਦ ਮਿਲਯਾ ਬਾਹੁ

ना रब्ब अर्श मुअल्ला उत्ते
ना रब्ब खाने काबे - हु
ना रब्ब इल्म किताबी लब्भा
ना रब्ब विच महराबे - हु
गंगा तीरथ मूल ना मिल्या
पैंदे बे-हिसाबे - हु
जद दा मुर्शद मिल्या बाहु
छुट्टे सब अज़ाबे - हु

Neither is God above the highest heaven
nor is God in the Ka’ba - He!
neither was God found in bookish knowledge
nor is God in the mosque’s niche - He!
(even) on pilgrimage to the Ganges,
the source was not found
(despite) going measureless distances - He!
when the Guide was found by Bahu
over were all the torments - He!

ਮਾੜੀ ਸੋਚ ਨੂੰ ਹਰ ਇੱਕ ਬੰਦਾ ‘ਠੱਗ’ ਦਿਸੇ,
ਤੇ ‘ਫੱਕਰਾਂ’ ਨੂੰ ਹਰ ਬੰਦੇ ਦੇ ਵਿੱਚ ‘ਰੱਬ’ ਦਿਸੇ..!

ਔਖੀ ਰਮਜ਼ ਫ਼ਕੀਰੀ ਵਾਲੀ
ਚੜ ਸੂਲੀ ਤੇ ਬਹਿਣਾ
ਦਰ - ਦਰ ਤੇ ਟੁਕੜੇ ਮੰਗਣੇ
ਮਾਈਏ ਭੈਣੇ ਕਹਿਣਾ ..

Aukhi ramaz fakeeri waali

dar-dar te tukde mangne

Details:
It is difficult to acknowledge, understand and follow vast hidden treasures of knowledge in Guru's teachings. One has to keep aside and sacrifice own intellect, experience, skill, smartness and ego. It is not everybody's cup of tea to beg from door to door calling upon mothers and sisters for alms like a fakir does.
