ਜਦ ਦਾ ਮੁਰਸ਼ਦ ਮਿਲਯਾ ਬਾਹੁ
ਛੁੱਟੇ ਸਬ ਅਜ਼ਾਬੇ - ਹੂ

ना रब्ब अर्श मुअल्ला उत्ते
ना रब्ब खाने काबे - हु
ना रब्ब इल्म किताबी लब्भा
ना रब्ब विच महराबे - हु
गंगा तीरथ मूल ना मिल्या
पैंदे बे-हिसाबे - हु
जद दा मुर्शद मिल्या बाहु
छुट्टे सब अज़ाबे - हु

Neither is God above the highest heaven
nor is God in the Ka’ba - He!
neither was God found in bookish knowledge
nor is God in the mosque’s niche - He!
(even) on pilgrimage to the Ganges,
the source was not found
(despite) going measureless distances - He!
when the Guide was found by Bahu
over were all the torments - He!

ਮਾੜੀ ਸੋਚ ਨੂੰ ਹਰ ਇੱਕ ਬੰਦਾ ‘ਠੱਗ’ ਦਿਸੇ,
ਤੇ ‘ਫੱਕਰਾਂ’ ਨੂੰ ਹਰ ਬੰਦੇ ਦੇ ਵਿੱਚ ‘ਰੱਬ’ ਦਿਸੇ..!
