To disable the 10 second pause at boot time in case there is less RAM



Open the file:"/etc/rc.d/rc.sysinit" under root and find the following:
echo $"Normal startup will continue in 10 seconds."
sleep 10
Now safely change the "sleep 10" to "sleep 0", save the file and restart to verify.
